BRIAN MARTIN BROOKS
26TH MAY - 4TH JUNE

Brian Martin Brooks studied for his BFA at Pratt Institute, New York, and for his MA at Wimbledon College of Art. 
He has exhibited internationally since the 1970's with work held in private and public collections throughout Europe, the USA and Latin America. He currently lives in Folkestone, Kent, UK.
In this series of paintings, Brian utilises oil on canvas and acrylic on linen to produce a colourful set of immersive works that create movement and vibration which play on the viewer's perceptions.

Jules works from her Folkestone home studio to paint land and seascapes inspired by the local coastline and countryside. She works with a mixed media of house paint, acrylics, watercolour and oil pastels to create pieces full of subtly layered colour and texture.

Harriet formally trained as a jeweller and for many years ran a successful jewellery business. She now lives in Whitstable, Kent, was introduced to clay in 2019 and now focuses on creating ceramics in her home studio.

Kat Kristof, b. 1986 Budapest, Hungary, lives Folkestone Kat is a former architect and designer, and her recent collection of works are completely leaving behind the field of straight lines and defined shapes for something elusive and immaterial. Her new paintings are inspired by the beauties found in nature in a unique and abstract way.

The creative journey Mark Millsted has chosen has been through trial and error and an attempt to answer visual conundrums and resurfacing ideas.  Although he cannot claim to follow a manifesto or political art that seems to be prevalent in contemporary circles, he continues to challenge thoughts and emotions that he has gathered and regathered.
