Sue Bridge

Sue Bridge is an award winning multi disciplinary artist, her career spanning painting,
animation and design.

March 2023, Sue's work 'Swimmer, Land, Sea' won the 'Cass Art Prize' for the 'most
innovative use of colour' at The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours show held at
the Mall Galleries, London. She had work sell at the New English Art Club 2022 also at the Mall Galleries. Her bathers series of works have been popular here at the Folkestone Art Gallery.

Her animations have been screened at various film festivals. She won an award for The
Last Egg' at Women over fifty film festival (WOFFF) and appeared on a Q and A panel for the event.

2019, a painted animation was shown at The Turner Contemporary and The
Photographers Gallery, London.
​
Her work is held in private collections both in the UK, Europe and the United States.
She has established herself in Folkestone's Creative Quarter, regularly opening up her
studio of semi abstract works to the public.

Sue studied Art and Design at Canterbury and Birmingham, attaining a First class
BA(hos) in 1985. She was taught hand drawn animation by Bob Godfrey and had a
career spanning 30 years at the BBC.
