Sue Bridge Biography
Sue Bridge is a multi disciplinary artist, her career spanning painting, animation and
Sue has established herself in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, regularly opening up her
studio of semi abstract works to the public.
So far in 2022, eight paintings have been selected for open calls, one sold at Mall
Galleries, London and one winning a prize at the Fishslab Gallery Whitstable. She sold 12
paintings at ‘Seas the day’ group show in UCA project Space, Folkestone.
She exhibited throughout 2021, self led, and curated an open call, ‘Zilch’ managing 20
artists, selling their works alongside her own.
2020, her animations were shown at 3 film festivals. She won an award for ‘The Last Egg’
at Women over fifty film festival (WOFFF) and appeared on a Q and A panel for the event.
2019, a painted animation was shown at The Turner Contemporary and The
Photographers Gallery, London.
Her work is held in private collections both in the UK, Europe and the United States.
Sue studied Art and Design at Canterbury and Birmingham, attaining a First class
BA(hons) in 1985. She was taught hand drawn animation by Bob Godfrey and had a
career spanning 30 years at the BBC.
