A collaboration between three female artists from Folkestone's Creative Quarter, inspired by the ‘Fifth Continent’ of Romney Marsh. Their shared dialogues have influenced their individual practices, as they have gained insight into one another’s approaches, ideas, and processes.  A mini-residency at Folkestone Art Gallery in November during the Book Festival marks their first public sharing of this ongoing dynamic relationship.

The Exhibition is open for a fortnight and will give visitors the opportunity to meet the artists; see and interact with completed work and works-in-progress; and explore crafting with metal, paper and fibre themselves. The meditative practice of hand-crafting with these materials, and the diversity of each artist’s interpretations, affords a glimpse into the natural intersections shared by the techniques.
